The Review: Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil

By all accounts my skin has been having a pretty awful few months. It all began during the summer  when it initially decided to go crazy. I started to suffer from spots around my chin area that I hadn’t seen since my teens. At the time I put it down to the warm weather and stress. Fast forward to September I made the move to Abu Dhabi and my skin settled down for a few weeks before going nuclear again.
This time I once again lay the blame with the weather, which was now so much more intense to say the least, plus the air conditioning wasn’t doing my skin any favours. I switched up my makeup to see if it made a difference, but still my skin wasn’t responding. I decided to do a massive overhaul on my skincare routine to try to get to the root of the problem, which is how I came to purchase the Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil

The Clarins Oil had been on my “to try” list for a while but now I finally had an excuse. Hand on heart I really feel that this is one, if not the best skincare products that I have ever used. I’ve become so obsessed that one of the first things I now do when I get home after work is to remove all my makeup so I can lather this on. Before now I was usually found lounging around the house with a full face of makeup until bedtime even if I wasn’t planning to go out again. I know some people will freak out at the thought of putting oil on their skin especially if you suffer from oily skin already but oils are amazing. They hydrate, nourish and help repair the skin. This one is specifically for oily and combination skin with there also being Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil for dehydrated skin and Santal Face Treatment Oil for those who suffer with dryness. If you feel like you need something to really make a difference with your skin try working an oil into your routine.
I’ve found that the Lotus oil has completely transformed the texture and appearance of my skin. My skin beyond soft these days and my completion is more balanced and brighter. I’ve also noticed a massive reduction in my pores, which were creator size before. The healing properties that this also possesses is incredible. It really has helped reduce and clear the awful under the skin spots that I had been suffering from. I usually use this at nighttime after cleansing and just before my moisturiser, but once or twice a week I use it on it’s own or mixed with the Kiehl’s Over Night Biological Peel. This is definitely a hero product for me.
