It’s my tradition now to make a Charlotte Tilbury purchase when I’m home in Ireland. CT still isn’t available in the UAE, which is surprising and probably a blessing to my bank account. Having something I can’t get on demand makes going home and making a purchase feel all the more special.
usually know in advance what I’m going to treat myself to next and the Colour Chameleon Colour Morphing Eye Shadow Pencil was no exception.
I had my eye on it over the summer, but I chose a lipstick instead. My love of CT eyeshadow quads is eternal, so I really wanted to try the eyeshadow pencils. The various shades are done with eye colours in mind, but you don’t have to stick to that rigidly. I have a mixture of blue/green/grey eyes so I went with Bronzed Garnet, a beautiful bronze tone with hints of sparkle. I normally go for champagne colours, but I’ve found this really makes the green hues my eyes pop. Application is pretty stress free and amazing for traveling. I just apply from the bullet and then blend with my finger-I’m not too precious about it. I also love just a tiny bit under my lash line to frame my eyes. The only small problem that I find it that it really sticks to them skin, which gives great long-lasting wear, but you have to make sure that you blend it before it has time to set on the eyelid. I’ve found warming it in my fingers before helps it apply smoother and makes it more blendable.
I’m home in less than two weeks and I’m pretty sure I know what I’m going to treat myself to this time. Stay tuned!
