Winter isn’t coming, it’s here. And it’s been wrecking havoc on my skin!
I tend to lavish most of my attention on my face with every lotion and potion for it sitting on the shelves in my bathroom, but I forget about the rest of my skin most of the time. My skin was in such bad condition a few weeks ago and I knew that I had to do something about it. I’ve gotten into a routine and my skin is the better for it. Most of my go-to products contain Shea and Cocoa butter which are just brilliant for keeping your skin hydrated and soft. So keep on eye out for them in particular.
Mamia Baby Oil– I always, always, always have to have this on hand for the second I get out of the shower. This is from Aldi and it’s my favourite baby oil. I prefer it to the much more expensive and well-known brands. I find it so much more moisturising and it keeps my skin in great condition.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E (Penneys tend to sell it cheaper than chemists!)- I keep this on my bedside locker to apply every night and it has left my skin so smooth. It’s very rich and creamy which is why I save it for the night time so it can really get to work.
Soap and Glory Flake Away-The skin on my legs was in bits but this wonder did them the world of good. The mixture is very thick and dense but it really scrubs away deep skin. The only thing is I used it in the bath and it left such a mess after the water had went down the drain so now I use it in the shower. This will be perfect come summer too for when it’s time to get those legs out!
Lush Butter Ball-the Epsom salt was interesting but made for a very boring bath. I was a Lush loony a few years ago but I had to stop when I moved to college and I didn’t have a bath anymore. The smell of Lush lulled me back in a few weeks ago and I picked up a few treats. Among them was the Butter Ball. This is different to other bath bombs in that it also contains Cocoa butter which melts in the bath to sooth your skin. It smells amazing too!
