QVC UK Favourites

The terms “TSV” and “three easy payments” are shrieked around my house very often these days. But the first time my mam told me she had been watching the shopping channel I scoffed- a knee-jerk reaction I’ve found when discussing shopping channels. But QVC is the crème de la crème of TV shopping. They have a lot of very well-known brands such as Benefit, Lulu Guinness, Elemis and the prices are pretty unbeatable. Because they are such as massive company they can afford to bulk buy from companies and give great discounts that you don’t set in stores. I’m a pretty dedicated follower myself now. They also offer a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee so you can try, yes try, everything and if you don’t like it you can send it back and get a full refund. Imagine going into Brown Thomas after two weeks and saying you don’t dig that foundation that’s the wrong colour and you would like a refund. I always keep on eye on the website for all the latest deals and new releases. A lot of my beauty products and tools have come from QVC so I though it was time I share a few of my favourites…
A little dictionary before we continue…
TSV or Today’s Special Value-every day at midnight QVC launch their special deal of the day. It normally gives great discounts on products or fantastic one-off sets from big brands.
Three easy payments-you pay for the item in three instalments. Equal pay is taken from your account each month. More often than not this is what seals the deal for me when it comes to buying. Sometimes they offer four easy pays.
Free p&p-pretty self-explanatory but it’s pretty great to get this especially as I live in the Republic of Ireland.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish– my first foray into the world of QVC was when my mam gifted me a “try me” set from Liz Earle for Christmas. There is a reason why I’m pretty sure this is one, if not the biggest, sellers for QVC. I love it so much that I’m never without it
Nails Inc-there’s something about me and nails, I am a magpie for them. Getting to sit down with a cup of tea watching the Nails Inc shows are always a highlight for me, forget the soaps! The gift sets are always amazing and wonderful value. My favourite colour so far has been Wyndham Place, which unfortunately isn’t available anymore, but if you’re looking for an awesome set may I direct you to this set, which is on my to buy list.
Yogi Hair Wand-Mother’s Day 2010 was when I really fell down the QVC rabbit hole. I remember it clearly, it was beauty day. I ended up buying something from nearly every show-oops! I had been on the lookout for a new curler because my Mary-Kate and Ashlee one had really seen it’s day by then, so I decided to give this a try thanks to the return policy and a three easy pay options. My Yogi is now four years old but he has come everywhere with me. Even if I’m going somewhere for the weekend I bring it because it’s so light to carry in my suitcase. I think that this was one of my best buys.
BaByliss Big Hair– the most recent addition to my collection is this crazy looking brush. I will have a more detailed review of this in the coming weeks but I’ve quickly become dependant on it to style my fringe.
Clarsonic-this was something I wanted to try for a very long time. I held out for it to be on ‘TSV’ which happened the week of Christmas 2012. It’s an expensive purchase and I wouldn’t have been able to afford it without QVC.
Diamonique Ruby Ring– I’ve never seen a diamond in the flesh, but Dominique’s stunning simulated diamonds make me feel like I have, not to mention own them. If I were to have a trademark, it would be my ring. I’ve received endless compliments about it over the past four years. I never take it off so it’s a pretty permanent fixture at this point, but I have a confession to make, I bought it on QVC for 14.99. Yep, that ring that looks like it has a ruby and diamonds surrounding it cost me very little. It was an impulse purchase that is now among my most treasured possessions. Go figure!

Diamonique Wing Pendant-as is the downfall with shopping channels, you end up with impulse buys from time to time. This was one of them but I don’t regret it at all.  I love how much it sparkles. Told you I’m a magpie.

A’kin Rosehip Oil-before BBs and CCs the beauty world went crazy for Rosehip oil. A lot of people favoured Trilogy’s version but I love A’kin’s version which QVC offer in a double pack. This is my go-to when my skin needs that extra boost. A must if you have dry skin.
Laura Geller – my mam adores Laura Geller’s makeup. I haven’t tried out her baked foundation, which everyone raves about yet, but I have serious love for her powder highlighters and blush. Defiantly a great brand for older ladies.

Emma Hardie Moringa Balm– I think that everyone should try this at least once in their life. And if you love it like me and my mam, keep buying it. The super size on QVC is ridiculously amazing value. May I suggest that this be your first purchase?

So whats next? I’m dying to try Tarte now that it’s finally available in the UK and Ireland but I’m holding out for new stock and keeping my fingers crossed for a TSV very soon. There are so many other items form QVC knocking about my house, from clothes to bedding and an awesome steam cleaner. Yes, I am now talking about steam cleaners on my blog-keeping it real!
Whatever are you waiting for?
